It´s been a while when we went to Busan during our Chuseok Holidays (September 19th- 22nd). This is one of the most important traditional holiday in Korea. I was surprised when nearly all of the restaurants were closed in Anam because every shop is open on every single day during the week, even on Sunday. And the fact that everybody celebrates it with their family, we decided to make a nice trip to BUSAN, However, every exchange student had this idea for the holidays. I really recommend to book a hotel or hostel near the Haeundae beach because the beach is so worth to go! The feeling being in the water full of big waves, swimming next to some surfers was so exciting! Enjoying the sunset in the water was so resterativ! Seeing all the jetski drivers next to us, was not only crazy but also dangerous.But that is so typical for Asia.
We nearly went to the beach every evening to drink some cocktails for 2€ only, in the juice box (another thing which we would never have in Germany) and see some fireworks. Having more beach feeling because of many musicians, I got impressed by the Korean band "Corona" and touched by their songs and the fantastic voice of the singer.
Teddybear restaurant: Even if you go there alone, you won´t be lonely at all because there are some teddy bears who join you at the table. Actually I don´t know if it is called "teddybear restaurant" but it is kind of weird because many Koreans would never go eating alone.
Bingsu, what else?
One of the best spots in Busan: Gamcheon Cultural Village. Can you image to live there? I got confused because it totally reminds me of a maze. And the whole "village" is full of art. Actually is is not full of art, it IS art! While taking pictures of the beautiful view, we met a relly nice Korean guy who lives in this city. He also gave us Onigiri to eat. It was so delicious!

I really love the idea to sell hotdog (yeah, hotdog!) as a lollipop.
Next spot which is worth to visit: Haedong-Yonggung temple! We did not take photos of it but we went to a Spa which included nice massages, saunas, footbath and wellness pools (only naked). It was so worth to go there...Price: 10,000 Won (~7€) whithout massages. We tried out those capsules and had a better circulatory after "sleeping" 30 minutes in it. The spa is in the once biggest department store in the world (the biggest is now in Shanghai??) called Shinsegae. Go there, if you like shopping! :D
Während ich wieder die vielen schönen Urlaubsfotos angucke, arbeite ich an meinem nächsten Referat. Auch, wenn ich meine Uni doch sehr mag hier und sie so vieles bietet, ich spüre den Konkurrenzdruck, den ich in Deutschland nie wahrgenommen habe. Es gibt doch tatsächlich einige Kommilitonen in meiner Klasse (Ja: Koreaner), die versuchen, die Noten anderer runterzudrücken, indem sie nach einer Präsentation ziemlich schwere und immer wiederholende frustrierende Diskussionen führen wollen. Sorry, aber wie alt seid ihr? Es gibt in einigen Kursen nur limited A´s (vergleichbar mit 1,0 und 1,3 in Deutschland). Sprich: Egal, wie gut du bist, am Ende gibt es nur für 10% der Klasse (5 Leute von 50) ein A. Vergleichbar mit der Normalkurve als Funktion in Statistik. Das ist nicht in jedem Kurs so, aber in dem einen Kurs ist das extrem und bald hat auch meine Gruppe die Präsentation und wir versuchen dagegen anzukämpfen. Wie sagen die Koreaner so schön? Fighting!
Ich liebe es deine Auflugsberichte zu lesen :) Wunderbar geschrieben und die Bilder unterstreichen alles. Das Bärenrestaurant finde ich total cool. Da hätte ich mich auch gerne mit dem Bären ablichten lassen.

Danke, Thuy :) Hier gibt es auch Hunde- und Katzencafés, aber die mag ich nicht so, weil es immer so drin stinkt und man nicht ordentlich sein Essen genießen kann. hahahaha
